Virieu-le-Petit (French pronunciation: [viʁjø lə pəti]; Arpitan: Veriô-le-Petit) is a former commune in the Ain department in eastern France. On 1 January 2019, it was merged into the new commune Arvière-en-Valromey.

Climate
Virieu-le-Petit has an oceanic climate (Köppen climate classification Cfb). The average annual temperature in Virieu-le-Petit is 11.0 °C (51.8 °F).
