Sagnarelli ([saɲɲaˈrɛlli]) are a type of ribbon pasta originating in the Abruzzo region of Italy. They are typically rectangular ribbons with fluted edges. Sagnarelli are usually served with a cream sauce and their sometimes uneven texture helps to hold thick sauces better.
