Godby is a village in Finström, Åland. It is located at the intersection of Highway 2 and Highway 4, 17 kilometres (11 mi) north of Mariehamn. The population is about 1,300, which make it the second largest urban area in Åland after Mariehamn. A pharmacy, banks, a post office, a swimming hall and a health center are among the amenities that can be found in Godby, as well as the Godby högstadieskola high school.
The historically significant events of the village include the Battle of Godby [fi], which took place during the Finnish Civil War in 1918. Along with the civil war, the events of Godby were connected to the Invasion of Åland during the World War I, in which Sweden and Germany were also parties.
